Get Red Carpet Ready Without Going Under The Knife

The holiday season is just around the corner which means it’s almost time for all the parties, dinners, and of course the NYE celebration! Every woman wants to look remarkable during this time of the year, but clothes and make-up can only do so much.

Thankfully, the modern beauty industry offers a lot of ways to become flawless in practically no time. From extensions done in a beauty salon to minimally invasive procedures offered by a medical office, there are lots of tricks to make you look radiant for the holidays!

Lash Extensions

$125+ per set

If you are like 99.9% of women, you probably wish your eye lashes were a little bit fuller or a little bit longer.

Most of us don’t have time -- or the skill -- to apply false lashes every day. Well the next best thing is here -- lash extensions! This new trend is almost as essential as red lipstick. This procedure takes about two hours with almost no down time. Lash artists recommend to stay away from water for the first 24 hours. Lash extensions last through a full growth cycle of your natural lashes, typically 4-6 weeks. The fake lash will shed with the natural lash, but a fill is recommended every 2-3 weeks. You are still able to wear all your makeup, but mascara is not recommended as it could cause the lashes to become clumpy and fall off prematurely. Trust me, once you have your full set of fabulous long lashes, mascara will be the last thing on your mind!

Lip Enhancement

$450+ per syringe

Not all of us were born with voluptuous lips like Angelina Jolie. Lucky for us, we can copy her look with lip fillers!

Hyaluronic acid is a natural, biodegradable substance found in the body that is injected into your lips for a fuller look. The most commonly used fillers are Restylane and Juvaderm which last about 6 months. This quick procedure only takes about 30 minutes with recovery time of typically one day. However, bruising and swelling can occur for up to one week. So, throw away all those lip plumping lip glosses that hardly deliver, find yourself a board certified surgeon and get to those injections!

Botox & Fillers

$125+

Botox has come a long way since its bad reputation of a “frozen face” and is now extremely popular.

Botox is made up of highly purified toxins that can temporarily erase or reduce horizontal forehead lines, vertical frown lines, and crow’s-feet. The injections slow muscles that contract hundreds of times a day and eventually cause wrinkles. Botox will not affect the nerves that cause sensation, or make you feel numb. When used correctly, it can lift the brow to give an appealing and sincere look. Results begin to show in a couple of days and develop gradually over the course of two weeks. Botox injections usually last 3-4 months.

Hair Extensions

$100+

I change my hair color almost as often as I change my clothes. Hair extensions are my remedy.

Even worse, I am constantly deciding if I should keep my hair long or chop it off. If you’re anything like me, hair extensions are perfect for you. If you know 100% that you want to go for the long hair look, there are many different types of extensions you can get. Some include braiding them in, gluing them in, or using special sealing clips. Typically you have to get your extensions touched up every 6 weeks or so. If you love your short hair look on a daily basis but want long hair for a special occasion then clip in extensions are a perfect fit for you. You just part your hair and clip in the extensions wherever you desire. At the end of the day, simply take them out!

Laser Skin Resurfacing

$800+

Laser resurfacing is great for anyone who wants to get rid of acne scars, sun spots, fine lines, or wrinkles.

This technology evens out problem skin and stimulates collagen production which in turn improves skin elasticity, appearance, and health. In other words, it’s like a shot straight from the fountain of youth which removes imperfections and gives your face a glow. The procedure is minimally invasive and may only require a topical anesthesia cream. It is performed by a laser which is passed over the surface of the skin, removing thin layers of dead and problem skin cells. The treatment can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. The recovery time is approximately 4-5 days.
