Beauty Trends 2022

Every new year opens the door to a new world of beauty possibilities and closes it to those of the past. In 2022 we expect to see the more natural side to beauty. So you’re not entirely left in the dark, we’ve rounded up a list of the hair and beauty trends you should follow to be 2022’s “it girl”.
CHEEKS
The 80’s are back and fresher than ever!
Get your blush brushes ready because you’re going to need them. This upcoming year, blush is meant to be seen with a new technique called “blush draping”. Makeup artists all over the world are reaching for their powder blushes to enhance facial features giving a distinct 80’s effect.
Tip: Apply a bold sweep of blush all the way up the cheek and toward the temples. Finish with pearly highlighter across the temples.
HAIR
The cool thing about bangs is that you can completely revamp your style with a very small change!
Bangs are coming back in a major way! It doesn’t matter what kind of hair you have – long, short, straight or messy – you can customize your cut to flatter your features.
With great bangs come great responsibility and a tad bit of patience. Since this trend is a little high-maintenance, you will need a few more appointments at your studio – every 2/3 weeks or so.
Also, please, do us a favor (actually do yourself a favor): if you’ve never done this before, DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! We all know that the results would be terrible! Trust me, I am speaking from experience.
BROWS
It’s all about the natural and slightly untamed brows in 2022.
All you need is some clear brow gel and a spoolie brush, adding a little brow powder to fill any gaps need be, and you’re ready to go. Doesn’t that seem easy? Yes – but there is an even easier way – Microblading!
If you thought this brow trend was going to disappear in 2022, think again. Microblading is a semi-permanent way to get full, natural-looking brows. Although it is a bit pricey, and some might say painful, it could last up to a year and it will take your brows to the next level!

SKIN
The no makeup look is nothing new. But there is no denying that it has become popular in recent months. Stars like Kim Kardashian-West and Alicia Keys are popularizing the clean skin look front row at fashion shows and even the red carpet.

Here are some tips on how you can rock the bare-faced look:
  1. Hydrate! Well-hydrated skin look luminous
  2. Smooth a dot of foundation under your eyes, around nostrils, and on red spots.
  3. Use just a little bit of liquid or cream blush & highlighter
  4. Comb on a tinted brow gel, focusing the most color on the arches
  5. Curl your lashes and add a few light coats of mascara
  6. Mix a pinkish nude lipstick with your lip balm
NAILS
This mesmerizing trend makes nails look like a glistening metallic dream.
Often paired with a pointed stiletto shape, chrome nails, aka mirror or hologram nails, are this year’s biggest trend. Getting that chrome finish requires a gel polish base and a special powder that is carefully buffed on top in thin layers and sealed with topcoat.
