The collection includes documents dating back to the late 1940s, videos of unexplained objects observed over the Yellow Sea, the East China Sea, the western United States, and the Gulf of Mexico, along with NASA images taken during the STS 80 space shuttle mission in 1996.

The biggest surprise is not the videos or the photographs themselves. The Pentagon says some of these cases still cannot be fully explained. Even more surprising, officials are inviting independent researchers to review the evidence and offer their own analysis.

That changes the conversation completely.

Ten years ago, statements like these would have been dismissed as conspiracy theories. Today, they are coming from organizations with some of the most advanced surveillance technology in the world.
