Generation’s Guide

Nowadays, everything is classified, and one of the most interesting and, in our opinion, successful classifications is by generations. However, with the emergence of more than three generations (X, Y, Z), humanity started getting confused. We at the editorial team decided to untangle this and created a very simple, clear, and easy-to-remember guide to generations, highlighting the main characteristics, achievements, and, of course, famous representatives.

1901–1927 Birth Years: The Greatest Generation

Distinctive Traits:

  • They survived the Great Depression and World War II, which made them Great.
  • High work ethic, patriotism, and self-sacrifice.
  • Strict adherence to traditions and respect for authority, which helped them endure.
  • Frugality and thriftiness.
  • Strong orientation towards family values – it is said about them that they lived together for more than 50 years.

1946–1964 Birth Years: Baby Boomers

Final Thoughts

Each generation contributes to the development of society. Older generations built the economy and industry, while younger ones focus on technology, ecology, and digitalization. Meanwhile, the middle generations seem to be successfully dismantling everything.
Right now, Gen Z and Alpha are shaping a future that will be drastically different from the world in which their parents grew up. However, among all these generations, we couldn’t find the infamous "Generation π”
