“We can easily maintain our beauty,” says paramedical skin correction therapist Kariné Petrosyan

Kariné, you treat acne and rosacea and perform rejuvenating procedures using the DMK cosmetic line. What is innovative about this treatment?

The DMK line is an elegant update of beloved formulas, featuring a progressive system for delivering active components into the deeper layers of the skin. To illustrate: when we want to tidy up our home, daily cleaning is one thing, but a thorough deep clean is entirely different. DMK functions like a deep clean for the facial skin. How does it work? Is it hardware cosmetology?

This is not hardware cosmetology; it involves masks and various enzymes, and the process is painless. The client lies under the mask for 45 minutes, during which detoxification and oxygenation occur. Upon removal, red capillaries may become visible—a sign of a successful procedure and proof that the patient has received oxygen. If the client has problematic skin, this effect may not be immediate and could appear after a couple of sessions.

How long does one session take?

A maximum of two hours. Prior to applying the mask, the client needs to be prepared.

How many procedures are required, for example, to treat acne? And how long will the achieved result last?

This is a highly individual matter. We are all different; each person has unique characteristics influenced by various factors: comorbidities, hormonal imbalances, even blood type. But the good news is that this cosmetic line helps even with hormonal changes.

– And rosacea? Can this condition be cured?

– There are many causes of red cheeks. Rosacea most commonly occurs in individuals with fair skin tones. Genetic predisposition is the primary risk factor for developing the condition. Additionally, those at risk include people who excessively tan, engage in harmful habits, or have dry and thin skin. Unfortunately, it isn't curable, but we can maintain the body at a level where the condition isn't strongly felt. There are many therapy methods; for example, laser removal works temporarily but the issue returns quickly. DMK handles rosacea better. I had a client who tried laser correction but said she wouldn't go again because it was very painful. DMK treatment is very comfortable.

– For those over 40, where should one start in combating aging?

– We can't turn back 25 years, but we can maintain our beauty. Wrinkles won't disappear completely, but they will partially smooth out. Any regimen consists of four procedures; it's advisable to complete them, then take a break. However, after the first session, the face becomes radiant and toned. The DMK procedure also treats pigmentation and tightens pores.

– Do you have any maintenance products for after the procedure?

– Absolutely. Whether it's acne or an anti-aging procedure, subsequent home care is necessary. An individual approach is crucial here.

– How often should one return after completing the course?

– It's believed that if the skin is oily, it's advisable to visit a cosmetologist monthly; if combination, once every three months; for dry skin, a visit every six months suffices. But in my experience, any woman wanting to prolong her youth should see a specialist monthly.

– At what age should one start rejuvenating procedures to avoid greater efforts and expenses on a neglected case later?

– Usually, at 23, a girl or boy should start facial care; by this age, collagen decreases, and it's time to take care of oneself. But if there are problems, then at 13–15 years old, as DMK has no age restrictions.

– Do you work only with the face or the whole body?

– The whole body, especially noticeable on postoperative scars. Scars smooth out after one procedure; DMK also helps improve skin after tattoo removal. We can work with the décolleté area and hand skin.

– Can DMK cosmetics be ordered online or from you to try them?

– It's possible, but it should be done with an individual consultation. DMK isn't sold on websites; there are some resales, but the company strictly prohibits this. Such cosmetics shouldn't be used thoughtlessly. I'm not saying DMK is the only serious help; there are many good cosmetic lines. But in any choice, a professional with the right approach to use and treatment should assist, as it's usually a set of measures up to diet. By the way, don't buy cosmetics in stores and on websites to combat diseases; instead of treatment, you might get a problem. Often, store-bought products simply don't help, and professional cosmetics are much more serious. Their components are stronger and can even harm, for example, by thoughtlessly using something with high acids. A cosmetologist selects products in a balanced way.

– Kariné, you practice paramedical cosmetology—it's quite incredible. Is it all thanks to DMK?

– If I had known about this company earlier, I wouldn't have traded its capabilities for anything else.
