TO STAY COOL THIS SUMMER
The Greater Sacramento Valley has a lot going for it with its abundant Farm-to-Fork agriculture, family-friendly suburbs, and a great small business environment. The one thing we don’t have in the valley is the beach. Those looking to escape the summer heat no longer have to drive to Lake Tahoe or the coast to cool down and enjoy some water activities.
Sacramento’s newest waterpark is a dream come true for anyone who likes to play in the water or chill at the beach!
Wake Island Waterpark is a stunning 80-acre oasis of water, sun and sand features several man-made lakes suited for extreme water sports, featuring a kids-friendly water park, and embellished with two sandy beaches for a chill summer fun. The park features a boatless cable system for wakeboarding & paddle boarding.
The park is home to the largest floating AQUA PARK in North America. This enormous “floating playground” is a challenging endeavor which makes it perfect for birthday parties, family reunions, company picnics or just having fun with friends. The equipment is state-of-the-art and it’s great for all ages!
If you are looking for a “Resort Experience,” you can upgrade to the ultimate VIP Beach access by renting a private, shaded area for the entire day! Wake Island offers three different cabana options, including large and small beach cabanas and our ‘one-of-a-kind’ floating cabanas! VIP Beach passes cannot be purchased a-la-carte, but they’re definitely worth every penny as you get access to a fantastic swimming area and a luxurious shady beach cabana.
While the Aquatic Park and the two sandy beaches alone make Wake Island a perfect place for a quick summer getaway, a birthday party, or a group event, the park also offers some incredible water attractions you can’t find anywhere else in the valley. Here are some of the most popular attractions our editorial staff suggests for fun friends and family day or a your next group event:
Wakeboard Park
Boat-less wakeboarding park, where riders are pulled continually around the lake with the use of cables!
Ninja Race Course
Race your friends, family or colleagues in a head-to-head format on a floating race course.

Stand Up Paddleboards
A fun way to practice your balancing skills, whether it’s paddling to your destination or standing up and sitting down, you can even do yoga on the paddleboards!
Zipline
The Zipline rushes you 500ft over their AQUA PARK lake with incredible views of the entire park.
